Previous Summits

A Tradition of excellence

AFNIS is building a new tradition in Africa of leaders coming together to foster and create substantive change in how we promote and utilise our resources.

View the speakers and highlights from our previous summits.

AFNIS 2022

Our inaugural summit (named “NAFNIS”) was the first summit of it’s kind held in Abuja. As the world reopened following the Covid Pandemic, NAFNIS offered the nations of Africa renewed hope for change in our use of natural resources and intra-continental partnerships.

The theme focused on the sustainable development of our resources:

“A Greener Africa”.

AFNIS 2023

The second edition of AFNIS built upon 2022’s proposals and theme of sustainable development of Africa’s resources. In 2023 we discussed the need for a just and equitably transition when moving towards a greener Africa.

Welcomed and supported by the new President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, AFNIS continues to foster a culture of innovation, and consequntial events to move our continent forward.

AFNIS 24’s theme is “Natural Resources for Economic Development” – We will hear from leaders of industry, policy makers and next generation thinkers on how we can sustainably capitalise on Africa’s abundant resources.
